         A story about the company of a sports goods retailer based in countries that symbolizes romance and love which is France.

The first logo of ‘Decathlon’ 

The company has founded by Michel Lecleroq native of the country France and a billionaire businessman in Lille, France at the year 1976. He got the idea to choose the name 'Decathlon' from the words [dekat5], it is an analogy to the word (pentathlon) which means "prize".



The second logo of 'Decathlon in the year 1980 until 1990s

Golden year for the 'Decathlon' because it has received a warm welcome and has become the talk of the town. In 1982, the company make a move to expand the business abroad to the global market, and the first country is Germany.


Again! The company change the logo and maintain it till now

In this stage, the company reaches the market in many Europe countries. For example, Portugal, Australia, and Canada. The company didn't end there but made incredible strategies by entering the ASEAN market in 2001 in China and followed by Hong Kong, Singapore, Indonesia, Philippines, and Malaysia.
